Sheriff: Man Grew Pot To Fight Terrorism

A man busted for growing marijuana in Trousdale County said he was helping the country fight terrorism.

Authorities found 283 plants at a home on Middlefork Road last week.

They have not released the suspect's name, but the sheriff said the man told him he had seen former President George W. Bush once say that people who buy drugs off the street were supporting terrorism, so he decided to grow his own.

Arizona: Medical Marijuana Qualifies For November Ballot

The Arizona Secretary of State on Tuesday informed the Arizona Medical Marijuana Policy Project (AMMPP) that it had turned in the required number of signatures -- 153,365 -- to qualify for the ballot. The initiative will be presented to Arizona voters for approval on November 2, reports the Tucson Citizen.

Indiana to require ID for alcohol purchase regardless of age

Starting July 1, any licensed server selling alcohol for off-premise consumption will be required to card all Hoosiers -- regardless of how old they look. That means all retailers from supermarkets to package liquor stores will be turning away customers without identification.
