Read more »When Pompton Lakes police seized Darren Richardson’s car on a rainy September afternoon, they told him it was headed for an impound lot. When they returned it three weeks later, he says, the 2004 BMW belonged in a junk yard. According to police reports, the damage to the black BMW 325i came in the aftermath of a traffic stop during which officers detected a "strong odor of raw marijuana" inside the vehicle. NEW YORK – The New York Police Department is investigating why it took more than eight hours for a police officer suspected of drunken driving to be given a blood-alcohol test. Rafael Casiano crashed his car at about 4:30 a.m. Friday in the Bronx while off duty. Another officer riding with him with was hospitalized with a head injury.

STOCKTON, Calif. (KCRA) -- Earlier this year, a Stockton student was handcuffed with zip ties on his hands and feet, forced to go to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation and was charged with battery on a police officer. That student was 5 years old.

Once students peacefully demanded the release of the arrested, a police officer unnecessarily pepper sprays the students to open a path for the rest of the officers

A fairly well-known NH liberty supporter in Tokyo is moving against Keene's police department. His plan involves paying bitcoins to unemployed New Hampshirites...hiring them to stand in front of unpopular cops' houses. On November 12 he took out a Craiglist ad to that effect.

A Jefferson County constable shot a woman suspected of shoplifting in a Walmart parking Wednesday afternoon, Louisville Metro Police said. Whitlock told police he approached a female suspect in her car in the parking lot. He said the woman ran over his foot, prompting him to fire his gun, Mitchell said. The woman, whose name has not been released, was shot in the arm and hand, Mitchell said. It was not clear how many shots Whitlock fired.
