Why do I need a bookmarklet?

Bookmarklets (Buttons) are links you add to your browser's Bookmarks Toolbar. They are an easy way to submit your story to Free Talk Live from anywhere on the internet directly from your browser. When you find a story on another website that you want to submit to Free Talk Live, simply click the bookmarklet. Once clicked, it will take you to the "Submit FTL Show Prep" page and automatically populate the url and title fields. Tip: Highlight some text of the story that you want in the description field before you click the bookmarklet. The following browsers are supported by Free Talk Live.

Firefox

1. Make sure the "Bookmarks Toolbar" is visible. If it is not, go to menu View > Toolbars.
2. Drag this link: Submit to FTL up to your Bookmarks Toolbar.
3. Drag this link: Free Talk Live up to your Bookmarks Toolbar.

Chrome

1. Make sure the "Bookmarks Bar" is visible. If it is not, choose "Always show bookmarks bar" from the Tools menu.

Safari

1. Make sure the "Bookmarks Bar" is visible. If it is not, go to the menu View > Show Bookmarks Bar

Opera

1. Make sure the "Personal Bar" is checked under Menu > Apperance > Toolbars.

Internet Explorer 8

1. Make sure your "Favorites Bar" is visible. If it is not, right click on any part of the menu bar and make sure "Favorite Bar" is checked.
2. Right click Submit to FTL and click "Add to Favorites..."
3. Click "Yes" to the security alert prompt.
4. In the Add a Favorite prompt select "Favorites Bar" from the dropdown and click "Add".

Internet Explorer 7

1. Make sure your "Links Bar" is visible. If it is not, right click on any part of the menu bar and make sure "Links" is checked. If the Menu Bar is checked, the links bar will appear on the far right of the menu bar.
2. Right click Submit to FTL and click "Add to Favorites..."
3. Click "Yes" to the security alert prompt.
4. In the Add a Favorite prompt select "Links Bar" from the dropdown and click "Add".
5. Right click Free Talk Live and click "Add to Favorites..."
