Technologist, Yan Huang covers: Google and Apple, through the WHATWG (Web Hypertext Application Technology Working Group), is pushing to replace the current underlying technology XHTML2 of the Internet with their new HTML5. This will remove market share from Adobe Flash, Microsoft Silverlight and Sun Java FX, and put more control of the Internet in Google and Apple's hands.
