"Officer Lopez traveled in excess of 100 mph more than 100 times," said David Schulson, assistant state attorney. Broward County Judge Melinda Brown accepted a request from Lopez's lawyers to keep the case off his record. She said she hoped it would be a lesson to all law enforcement officers to obey the speed limit.
