Court ruling: Prisons exempt from punishment for proven inmate rape.

US 6th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled 2-1 that prison officials have immunity, shielding them from paying $625,000 in rape damages to Ohio inmate Michelle Ortiz. The woman was punished with solitary confinement for reporting the rape.
