U.S. District Judge Robert Jones said the state's decades-old ballot alternative of "none of the above" was unconstitutional because votes for "none" don't count in the final tallies that determine winners. A federal lawsuit filed in June and bankrolled by the Republican National Committee argued Nevada's unique voter option, which has appeared on every election ballot for statewide races since 1976, disenfranchises voters because it's a perpetual loser. Under state law, even if "none" receives the most votes, it doesn't win.

Senator Rand Paul Attempts to Have Independent Journalist Arrested and Stripped of Press Pass. According to an interview conducted by WeAreChange.org’s Luke Rudkowski and journalist Abby Martin of MediaRoots.org, the Senator of Kentucky, Rand Paul got overly angered a month ago after the two journalists questioned him on the endorsement of Goldman Sachs candidate, Mitt Romney.

The BBC is considering making an appeal against a court order which stopped it from broadcasting a dramatized film on last year’s riots in London. The film, which features actors portraying anonymous rioters sharing their experience of the events, was due to be broadcast on Monday evening, but was banned by a court order hours before hitting the airwaves. Its script was written by award-winning playwright Alecky Blythe and is based on interviews from some 270 people conducted by the Guardian and London School of Economics as part of a study into the massive public disorder.
