Officials say man must tear down ‘Phonehenge’ house

Los Angeles county officials are demanding that a creative homeowner tear down a 20,000-square-foot domicile he calls "Phonehenge West"--or face up to seven years in jail. A jury began hearing the county's case against Fahey last week: He is charged with 14 criminal misdemeanor counts, including unlawful use of land.

Church gets fined $100 per branch for excessive tree pruning

Every two to three years, Eddie Sales trims and prunes the crape myrtles at his church, Albemarle Road Presbyterian Church.

But this year, the city of Charlotte cited the church for improperly pruning its trees.

"We always keep our trees trimmed back because you don't want to worry about them hanging down in the way," said Sales, a church member.

The church was fined $100 per branch cut for excessive pruning, bringing the violation to $4,000.

Police attempt yet another cover up....this time after shooting a sleeping 7yr old girl. If you or I "accidently" shot and killed a child while forcing our way into someone's home, I'm guessing we'd be in jail. Cop says grandmother caused him to discharge firearm, victims claim the gun was shot from outside and ....these cops are CRAZY!!!

Georgia Law Enforcement Refuses to Report Forfeiture Funds

Civil forfeiture threatens the property rights of all Americans.

These laws allow the police to seize your home, car, cash or other property upon the mere suspicion that it has been used or involved in criminal activity.

Georgia has some of the worst civil forfeiture laws in the country. But, in an attempt to at least ensure civil forfeiture is subject to public scrutiny, state law requires local law enforcement agencies to annually itemize and report all property obtained through forfeiture, and what they did with it, to their local governing authorities.
