The police and firefighters who remained on shore as Raymond Zack waded into San Francisco Bay on Memorial Day 2011 and succumbed to hypothermia were under no legal duty to help him, a judge ruled Monday.

In the Dallas suburb of Garland, a man was killed by police who rammed his vehicle (after initially denying it) and fired 41 shots at the victim. Details are still emerging and stories changing as more details become known. It is reported that a witness recorded some of the incident via cellphone but was forced to destroy the evidence by the police.

Moments after his motorcycle struck a 4-year-old girl, an off-duty Chicago Police officer shot and killed the girl’s irate father after he allegedly attacked the officer, the Chicago Sun Times reports.

Cop looses it after asking guy if he can search and the driver tells the cop to get a warrant

The officer who was shot at was working an off-duty detail at the time, but police said she was in a marked cruiser and in uniform.

"He ordered two slices," said Sam Karia, a witness. "He was buggin' out on the phone. Actually someone heard him crying on the phone to somebody."
