The government has begun a war on chalk. Outside the federal courthouse in Concord, NH, two activists are arrested for the crime of using sidewalk chalk.

I was in New Hampshire's Sullivan County district court today to respond to a traffic arrest from February. I was not told, and did not know exactly what kind of proceeding I was involved with.

Rather than give the whole shebang away, I thought I'd relay these two salient observations:

1) I was the only person ( out of about 15 or so ) to plead "Not Guilty."
2) My fees & fines ( for not having my papers in order ) are higher than driving 99 mph in a 65 zone.

"I and my brothers in arms in this room did not survive fire and death of foreign battlefields to return home to face treason."

Three hours of testimony, all against, regarding a recent non-legislative ban on carrying firearms in the NH State House. A tradition in the Live Free or Die state.

But none compared to this young mans short, direct, and unapologetic speech aimed directly at the committee in front of him.
