Dan Wheeler, a Washingtonian and victim of identity theft found himself arrested due to his identity being stolen by a sex offender. The state refuses to clear Wheeler's name, for fear that the actual offender will continue to use Wheeler's name as an alias. Why not arrest everybody? What's to stop the sex offenders from using anyone's name?

This is why you should only call the police if it is your absolute last resort...

Man beaten and charged with felony after calling the cops to report his son's suicide. All he did was ask a police offer not to touch him after the officer came up behind him, grabbed his arm, and told him that he had to sit down.

A Dallas police officer is under investigation and will likely be disciplined, after commanders say the cop fired a pepper ball gun without permission. Commanders say the officer deployed the pepper dust, firing about 13 rounds against a building. Witnesses describe the incident as frightening. "People under it were screaming and one woman was wiping tears from her eyes," Avi Adelmann, who saw the ordeal, said. Adelmann says it just after the bars closed early Sunday morning, when the officer fired above the smal crowd. There was no fight.

Sylvie Nelson's border crossings are anything but routine. Customs agents sometimes order her out of her car. Twice, they handcuffed her in front of her young children. Once, agents swarmed her car and handcuffed her husband, too.

She tells them: It's not me you want, it's a man with the same birth date and a similar name. Agents always confirm that and let her go.

Then it happens again. And again.

The National Guard is making x-ray vehicle scanners, as well as other high tech police state tools, available to local police in order to fight the "war on drugs".
