I'm older than many of you. I grew up in the seventies. Many concerts were held at stadiums and had many bands on the bill. It was a few years after Woodstock and it was great to see a lot of bands for one price and the idea was that if you saw them play for a half hour at the stadium, you might pay attention when you heard them on the radio or when they were through town the next time. I saw Styx, Kansas, Bob Seger, Ted Nugent, Areosmith, Foghat and lots more on stadium bills and then as headliners. Those concerts lasted all day and were so much fun. I've seen the Grateful Dead and Springsteen dozens of times and those go on more than three and a half hours. Probably just the Rolling Stones and a good opening act would too. Why can't a football game go past say eleven O'clock? Lot's of drunks there. Too much money I suppose... Oh, the last concert tickets I bought were over $100 and I got a hotel because I drove to Cleveland and bought dinner. So I guess money isn't the real reason here. Control is the issue.
