On March 1 HR 347 was submitted to the White House for President Obama's signature. The bill passed the Senate by unanimous consent and had only 3 “nays” in the House (42 Representatives did not vote)... H.R. 347 expands current law to make it a crime to enter or remain in an area where an official is visiting even if the person does not know it's illegal to be in that area and has no reason to suspect it's illegal... In addition to making it illegal to unknowingly trespass in an area that has been deemed “restricted” it is now illegal to heckle and possibly even question a “protected” person.
