The gun owners of New Jersey have had enough! They’ve tried asking for their rights, they’ve tried protesting in the streets. It’s not working. The tyrants in Trenton are going to take their gun rights away regardless. Seeing that “There *IS* no redress of our LEGITIMATE grievances within the three branches of NJ government.” The New Jersey Second Amendment Society has announced the start of a campaign of civil disobedience. “In a SINCERE effort to avoid an unhappy outcome, we must attempt to reach the public through acts of non-violent civil disobedience. This is not easy and it will take time, but the alternative at this point is much less attractive.” They are right and deserve our support.

Awesome story! Particularly inspiring (and painfully shaming) was the excerpt from Thoreau's "Civil Disobedience." I AM concerned that gun owners who try civil dis while carrying firearms put themselves in a very dangerous position. All it takes is an accidental / negligent discharge, or trigger happy / nervous cop and all hell will break loose. Especially if the cops attempt to break up the demonstration by force. I suggest using fake guns clearly made out of wood while the movement is just starting. Once the enforcers get used to it, and if progress is not being made, maybe real guns could be added to the mix.

How to resist?

Thanks. Interesting ideas Kelvin. The tax resistance part is, to me, the most important. Whether to do it armed or not is up to the individual.
Doing public civil disobedience that could get one arrested is another matter. The get arrested squad may want to go in unarmed.
