http://www.youtube.com

John Bush, co-host of Rise Up Radio with Bush and Bleish ( http://www.ruleoflawradio.com/#listen ), goes old school and gets an ambush interview with Ron Paul. Campaign4Liberty vs Republicans

Purity vs Public Voice * As Libertarians, we can maintain our purity. It comes at a steep price, as for over 35 years the party has struggled unsuccessfully to win elections at the state or national level. This means we have a tiny voice at the national level. * Ron Paul got elected as a Republican, and has opposed most bills introduced in Congress, including Republican-sponsored bills, for example, the PATRIOT Act. How does he get away with it? * I heard him explain how he opposed the PATRIOT Act. There was a vote to bring the bill to the floor before the entire House voted on the bill. He told the audience that he surprised the Republican leadership by voting against bringing the bill to the floor. He went on to explain that he normally voted with the Republicans on _procedural_ matters, but; "Not this time". He voted against the procedure, as well as voting "No" on the bill itself. Voting with Republicans on procedural matters is the price he pays for voting his principles on the up-down votes. * This year, the Tea Parties and independents possess the majority numbers, but they are leaderless. The Republicans take them for granted, but haven't changed their neocon principles or started to read the Constitution. The vote is up for grabs, and now is the time for Campaign for Liberty to grab the ring.

"Republican" rules.

In order to be in the Republican party, Paul has to "endorse" all the other standing Republicans in Texas. Has he compromised in order to stay "Republican"? Yes. In effect, he's only endorsing the people he has to, and giving nothing more than the required endorsement. Has Paul actually _done_ anything to support the Neo-Con he's accused of supporting?
