It’s one of the most top secret, closely guarded sites in Britain. But today the hush-hush headquarters of the SAS is open for all the world to see at the click of a computer mouse. Military chiefs and MPs are furious after internet giant Google included pictures of the base on its Street View service. It means anyone can now snoop on the entrance to the elite forces’ HQ – which has never before appeared on maps for security reasons. The base, at Credenhill, Herefordshire, is even marked as “British SAS” on the website and offers users a detailed 180 degree view of the perimeter fence.
