FDA forbids shipment of pre-1938 drugs.

The FDA is “cracking down” on drugs which did not go through their ridiculously expensive FDA approval process; all pre-1938 drugs. According to the NY Times, 80% of all nitroglycerin pills on the market fall into this category. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/03/27/business/27nitro.html

I know this is boring information, but it looks like the FDA is setting up the next panic – drug shortages. This is not a conspiracy scare; basic, common and cheap drugs that people have relied on for decades are effectively being taken off the market because the FDA wants its palms greased. The drugs on the list aren’t the end of it because many of the items on the list are used in the manufacture of other drugs.
