Asked directly, Johnson says that he wouldn’t end the Department of Agriculture or Department of Commerce. He also says we don’t need to end the Fed — we just need the “resolve” to balance the budget. “We went to the moon; we can balance the budget,” he says, making one wonder if he even knows what the Fed does.

This is really disappointing. I was kind of hoping for a Paul/Johnson ticket in 2012, but now I'm not sure I want that to happen.

I'm still optimistic.

I'm still optimistic. Although the past is no prediction of the future, I hope that if Johnson is president, he would veto everything. Its hard for government to expand when that happens.
