Governors asked to resign in three days or face removal from office

More than 30 governors were sent letters asking for their resignations in three days by the organization Guardians of the Free Republics. Security measures increased in Utah's and Nevada's Capitols.

The letter clearly outlined the agregious violations of their oaths and described the legal ground work that has been established to remove them. It also suggested that they keep the letters secret since they would be inflamitory to the people and the letters' writers want a peaceful transition to a constitutional republic.

Gov. Perdue of NC received one of these letters according to our local tv news. I read the article and it said the letter told the governor's resign in three days or you will be removed from office. Maybe it is just me but couldn't they have sent that message on a post card. The Washington Post article said it wasn't considered a threat by Homeland Security. Even so several governors have stepped up their security details.

I first heard of this over 6 months ago. While their government won't be any more ligitimate than the current version, I like the idea that the elected would be responsible for the harm they cause. Lots of legal groundwork was put in place way ahead of time and this is just step one of a big plan.
