Hacker Group Anonymous Vows To Destroy Facebook On November 5

Hacktivist group Anonymous, which has been responsible for cyber-attacks on the Pentagon, News Corp, and others, has vowed to destroy Facebook on November 5th (which should ring a bell). Citing privacy concerns and the difficulty involved in deleting a Facebook account, Anonymous hopes to "kill Facebook," the "medium of communication [we] all so dearly adore."

I dunno about you, but I think FB is one of the greatest networking sites on the internet. So many of the outings and get-togethers that I attend with friends are organized on FB. Anonymous, you don't speak for me on this issue. Sure, the fine print, somewhere, might say something objectionable...but, if they abuse it, they will suffer market consequences. I'm not worried. Please...just stick to playing WoW for now...until you guys can actually think of something worth-while to do.

In trying to fight the government, they're behaving JUST like it. After all, they know so much better than us and must shut down facebook against many people's wishes because we're too stupid to understand how to protect our own privacy. Anyone else see the irony in this?
