Students on universities and colleges are threatened by hackers who are attempting to gain their college personal data. There was no actual info stolen directly from the school, there was instead a possibility to link to an outside site where you can apply for a personal unsecured loan and give your personal info directly to the company. The biggest issue is that college students apply for these loans thinking that they are affiliated or backed by the college when in reality they have nothing at all related to the schools.

A few days after the DECAF software was released the creator came out and said his software was a prank and debunked that DECAF could be used against Microsoft's COFFEE. Slashdot had a story on this.
