Well, 50% closed is still 50% open.

I remember when some powerful bureaucrats blessed (Really condemned) the Kansas City School District with all of these great facilities that were supposed to attract all these wealthy students. Then these students would bring the blessings of money, wealth and more revenue to the crappy inner city schools. Some people realized that it is only a building. What about maintenance? Transportation? and is the building what students are really interested in and not the other people around them? My opinion was different from "Some People" in that the whole concept of "Public" school is a failure and any attempt to enhance it is bound to be waste of precious resources. In fact in my neighborhood in another Mid-Western School District, I have take an informal poll and not a single one of the kids in my neighborhood goes to the brand new facility 1 mile away and instead take two city buses to get to the crappy school 6 miles away.
