IONIA -- To the little boy's mother, it was just a 6-year-old boy playing around.

But when Mason Jammer, a kindergarten student at Jefferson Elementary in Ionia, curled his fist into the shape of a gun Wednesday and pointed it at another student, school officials said it was no laughing matter.

They suspended Mason until Friday, saying the behavior made other students uncomfortable, said Erin Jammer, Mason's mother.

for a 6-year-old boy

For a 6-year-old boy, I think making such move is normal because he’s on the stage where he tries to imitate what he can see. Though, this is a bit worrying because it only means that the child is exposed in violence. The suspension will bring some emotional disturbance on the child, and a lot of questions will run through his mind. His parents should explain it to him well so that he won’t do the same thing again. I know this is different from Constance McMillen’s case.
