This story has so many angles

phonon 3 years 4 weeks 2 days 2 hours ago

She works for the IRS and she can afford "designer" clothes. She sells them on Ebay to clean out her closet, no biggie, but it's $12k worth? That IRS job must pay quite a bit. Then the IRS found out (HOW?) and knows about every bit of her online sales activity. Her job was to "collect delinquent taxes, survey unreported taxes and secure delinquent returns" and now she gets a heaping helping of the treatment that she doled out to so many others. And you've got to love this line, "IRS Commissioner Douglas Shulman told Congress last year that the estimated amount of uncollected taxes was $290 billion." Well, if they're uncollected, they're not really taxes, eh?
