A Muslim leader says he hopes American values prevail in a two-year battle between the Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Muslim community and people who don't want to see a new mosque built in the city. Judge Robert Corlew ruled Tuesday that plans to construct the mosque are null and void. Corlew said that by not giving people adequate notice for meetings on the proposal the county violated state law when it approved construction plans for the Islamic center. It is unclear whether or not Corlew's ruling means construction of the religious center must halt immediately.
