I find it disgusting that the jury would acquit him on the assault charge, when it is obvious from viewing the video that he purposely attacked the bicyclist with the intent of injuring him for no apparent reason whatsoever. His lying in the arrest report backs this up, as he essentially reversed the roles and made the bicyclist to be the assailant. I'm glad that he received a felony conviction on the false report charge, as he can no longer be a cop. But it's not any kind of greater justice, since this just proves that cops can use whatever level of violence they wish against peaceful people and not be held accountable for it. It also proves that these violent, sociopathic personality types are the ones typically attracted to police work, as this thug was on the job for only 11 days when he decided to attack this kid. His jackboots were barely broken in.
