I read the article your alarmist comment links to about the Mormon Church giving "you" up to the government. Just who is the "you" that you are concerned about? The article specifically states that because the Church is property tax exempt that address information about CHURCH owned buildings, farms, and facilities are not kept in the county emergency database. The "certain data" you are so concerned about has nothing to do with "you". It is data about the Church itself. The Church has simply agreed to provide the county with a list of its OWN church, farm, and facilities addresses so that in case of a disaster the county will be able to determine if some of the sites are available for sheltering those displaced by the disaster. The Church is making its property available to help others in times of crisis when it, by law, doesn't have to and you want to imply that it is acting in some sort of nefarious way in cooperation with government to betray the confidentiality of some group of people you haven't even bothered to identify? I understand you are upset with the Church's position against gay marriage and its past practice of polygamy, but could you please at least suspend your bias against the church long enough to at least make an attempt to be fair about what the Church is actually doing in this instance?
