This isn't all that different from Google Voice over WiFi really. Yes, MagicJack is using cellular frequencies, but you have to buy the equipment to use your cell phone with it, it only works at home. Not really a big deal IMHO.

 It's hijacking your cellphone frequency... and your cellphone BECOMES a voip device. (without running any apps)

Sure you can use Google voice as an application if you have a $500+ smartphone. (unsubsidized)
With this equipment, you can use ANY cellphone through their voip...

Imagine if Ebay (Skype) or Google purchased magicjack from radio shack... That would be a game changer....
