Nude Pics From Airport Scanners? [NSFW]

The Drudge Report has an image of a woman from an airport scanner up right now. It's scandalous enough as is, but it's shockingly easy to make it look even more like a normal nude photograph.

Reader Sigfried discovered that by simply inverting the image in Photoshop, you restore the photo to a more realistic tint. Of course, we're not sure where this image came from or if it's an accurate example of what these machines produce. But if so, let me just deliver a message to all you airport security workers out there: I just got out of a cold pool, I swear.

In my point of view this image is fake.Airport scanner is not scan nude pictures.

Pic is fake, but what the TSA has released is probably fake also

Even though this picture is a fake, I don't believe those blurry blue pictures are the best the TSA can do either. Imagine them trying to use one of those in court "this blue blob is the defendant", it won't happen, they will come up with a very clear picture of the suspect with a groin grenade.

AboveTopSecret.com has marked this story as "Hoax". They really don't do that unless they are really sure that a story is a hoax. After all, they are a conspiracy website. I think what happened was someone started out with a human photo, then used Photoshop to make a negative of the picture. They then posted the photo which was not from a scanner and said "this is from an airport scanner and look at the negative!". But in fact it may not have come from an airport scanner at all and I imagine that is why the story is marked as "hoax".

No, its real. On a mac, just press ctrl-option-command-8 and the screen inverts for you. No needing photoshop to see what it sees.
