In 2009 Passaic NJ Officer Joseph Rios was filmed beating a man for no apparent reason. The man is shown not physically threatening the officer or defending himself against the officer's attack. Now a Superior Judge has acquitted Rios of police brutality. Rios will now get his job back with back pay. The victim has been awarded $350,000 from the city from the beating. The taxpayers lose and the cop wins.
