A woman disputes the police officers story after they kill her boyfriend of 15 years. There was no reason for the officers to make a kill shot, if you're that scared he's going for the gun shoot him in the foot and spare his life.

bad advice

If what the girlfriend is saying is true it sounds like the police overreacted and should NOT have shot him.
However if you are going to fire a gun at a person you do not ever, ever, ever shoot to wound it is easy to miss, or for the wound not to stop the attacker, and then you end up dead. If you have a gun and think your going to shot to wound you are better off leaving the gun locked up at home, weather you a police office or a free person.
So please do not spread the horrible advice of shooting to wound. If you don't believe me talk to any knowledgeable firearm self defense trainer. Plus if you have a gun you need to get self defense training, because simply knowing how to pull the trigger is not enough.
Sorry if I sound preachy but bad advice like shooting to wound gets people trying to defend them selves killed.
