Don't know

I hate to give a cop the benefit of the doubt, as I have seen them in action too many times, but in this case the facts do not seem to be black and white. If I had to venture a guess however I would guess that the elder man was drunk and perhaps was a little out of line but in no way deserved what looks like a very over reacting cop assaulting and injuring him. I know if I had broken this guys neck that the cops would not be pushing for charges against him for assault on me it would be the other way around.

Not too much sympathy for the guy

If some old guy put his hand around my neck and tried to punch me I'd throw him off too. If his neck was broken in the process, it's his fault, not mine.

No sympathy for the cop in prison with a dick up his ass

If hes such a pussy he cant properly defend himself against an 84 year old man, he shouldnt be a cop. Use only the force necessary. Be for real.
