It's so funny how these people don't even get the meaning of the ad, it seems. I mean, nobody would want to live in Winston Smith's world, and now people don't even get it when they say "look at us, we're just like the bad guys". But it's not just Americans. It's worldwide. There is an ad similar to that in Israeli TV. Two ads, actually. That show how efficient agents (with black suits and dark sunglasses) grab people who did some unspecified crimes such as not paying taxes or employing people illegally, and things like that. In one of the ads, the arrested man is a real jerk, so that the audience will know he had it coming. One of the men arrested is a CEO type. The other is a computer whiz who sits in a dark garage. The agents in each ad trash the place, make some crack about it, and take the person away. The message is that no matter how well connected you are (CEO), and no matter how brilliant and sophisticated you are (computer whiz type) the government is efficient enough that it'll find you. Yeah, right. The ads, I think show a type of insecurity from the ineffective unsophisticated government. "Gee, citizens, don't look at us like this. Really, we're like this totally efficient group of people, totally. Stop brushing off Alex Jones! Government is like totally efficient! Look, we even used a British accent in one of our ads! It's sophisticated and scary!"

So, on a hunch, I decided to carefully view the video to see where it zooms in to (I actually live very close to where it comes in... the town is New Cumberland, by the way). As it turns out, the house at the end of the video actually exists! Granted, whoever created the video did try to disguise the neighborhood, but it still only took me about all of 5 minutes to find it.... http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&t=h&msa=0&ll=40.232478,-76.... I wonder if there could be a lawsuit against The Commonwealth of PA for zeroing in on a private citizen's house in this manner? What do all of you think? Would it be worth forwarding this info to some diligent local news team to investigate and inform the homeowner?
