Police hassle national newspaper on behalf of Rupert Murdoch

The now former Chief Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police revealed to the Home Affairs committee that he had two meeting with the editor of the Guardian newspaper back in 2009/2010, where he advised the editor to ease off on coverage the Guardian on the allegations that NOTW journalists had been hacking the phones of famous celebrities & politicians etc. In other words the then Chief Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police had told the editor of the Guardian to shut up & that smacks of the Orwellian police state just a tad.
