A former Pleasant Hill police officer who stole methamphetamine from an evidence room and crashed his squad car was sentenced Friday to probation.
Former Sgt. Daniel Hebert Edwards, 42, pleaded guilty in August of possession of a controlled substance, operating while intoxicated, and third-degree burglary. On Friday, he received one year of probation for the drug-possession charge, one year for operating while intoxicated, and three years for burglary.
