A big misconception about these camera tickets is that they are moving violations. They aren't! They are ordinance violations. That is why they don't go against your driving record. One way to fight these tickets is to simply tear it up and toss it in the trash! Since it does not come certified, they can not prove you got it. To give it to you certified, they have to pay a process server. If you live in the county of the offense, you are likely to get served. If you live out of county, or better yet, out of state, they are most likely not going to send a process server. It would cost more to send the server than the money they would get. If you do not pay, all they can do is sue you for the money.
