There are many kinds of salt. The salt that makes you sick is the kind most commonly sold in stores. It is basically made from industrial waste. Hydrochloric waste acids, and waste sodium hydroxides. They are on opposite extremes of the pH scale. What they do with the resulting salts is to clean out the heavy metal toxins. There is always some left in there. That is why they say salt is bad for you. Iodine is added because it taken out in the process. It is also added because it helps the body clean out heavy metal toxins. Sea salt is great, unless it is refined from contaminated waters. Salt from mines is good for you. Also salt from ancient sea beds. That being said, most people would still have problems because they do not know how to find a balance in their lives. All things in moderation.
