SPCA protests killing of pregnant cow

Cal Expo police shot the pregnant cow as many as 11 times Tuesday after it escaped while being unloaded from a trailer into a portable pen.

The animal was to be on display in the fair's "livestock nursery," where visitors could witness her giving birth.
