States push for nationwide prescription drug monitoring programs

http://www.msnbc.msn.com

Under the National All Schedules Prescription Electronic Reporting Act signed by President Bush in 2005, more than $50 million has been appropriated to states for programs where doctors and other authorized users, such as police in some cases, can access patient records. Prohibition of drugs

reinaP 3 years 2 weeks 3 days 9 hours ago

Prohibition of drugs as well as liquors and cigarettes are some of the vices which are hard to resolve. There are programs being implemented but still all of these will not succeed if the whole community will cooperate. Speaking of cigarette, there's latest issue about a cigarette found inside the McDonalds Happy Meal. A joke or a serious cause for concern; some are asking themselves the same question. A cigarette was found in a British McDonalds' Happy Meal. The mom caught the cigarette before her child ingested it, but now is suing the company. Now I fully agree that a Happy Meal cigarette is something to cause much alarm over, tobacco poising could be fatal to a 1 year old, but how far are we going to take this incident? I would be upset if I were her and would expect McDonald's to compensate me somehow, but not in a huge settlement. McDonalds I am sure has policies against cigarettes being on their employees during work hours, but that doesn't mean they can search their employees to make sure they are following these procedures, or they would be sued by their employees. This is a lose, lose situation for the fast food chain, and although I understand the mothers worries, do not support her decision. If she is going to sue over this issue, she has a long road ahead of her until she realizes her child is going to experience a lot worse in his lifetime.
