Regardless of what you believe really happened on 9/11 this place should be held sacred if nothing more for those who lost loved ones there. Not treated as some sort of playground for idiot tourist to come in and have a picnic.

where someone's loved ones died were "held sacred"...you'd have an absolute poop-ton of sacred places. I don't consider places to be sacred - if you want to cry over a hole in the ground where some buildings used to be and some people died, that's your business - I'll just walk right on past you as I look for a comfortable place to enjoy my sandwich. Maybe you'll get lucky and owners will uncover the last remnants of the base of one of the towers and you'll be able to go kiss it and rock your head back and forth and sing to it - that'll definitely inspire me to find a more sane location to enjoy my sandwich. I cannot currently think of anything less important than treating a plot of land with reverence.
