Billy Munnerlyn (BM) was hired to fly Albert Wright (AW) from AK to CA. DEA agents found $2.7m in AW's luggage & both AW & BM were arrested. The charges against both were dropped. BM spent $85k+ in legal fees trying to get his plane back. An L.A. jury awarded him return of his plane, a U.S. Dist. Judge reversed the verdict. He eventually spent $7k to buy his plane back. DEA caused ~$100k damage but is not liable for damage.
