1) Why were her personal items checked at a Border Patrol checkpoint, the business of which is to do citizenship checks?
2) Why is the BP stopping people miles away from the border?
3) A drug sniffing dog often serves as nothing more than a pass key to override the need for probable cause to search on the whim of its handler. What options do travelers have when a dog's handler claims the animal has alerted to a scent on a vehicle when, in fact, the dog didn't alert at all?
