MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- West Virginia University researchers are working with the FBI to build up a database including fingerprints, eye and facial images.
For the second year in a row, WVU researchers in computer sciences are working with the FBI to gather information about biometrics, including facial shapes, fingerprints, and even audio and video samples.
Research Assistant Professor Jeremy Dawson says his team is looking for 1,000 people to participate. Participants go through a series of sensors that capture those facial, iris and fingerprint images. For face recognition, they have to make expressions, like anger and disgust.
