http://www.naturalnews.com

Police state gone wild: Couple facing 60 days in jail for rescuing injured baby deer.
An Indiana couple saved a wounded baby deer and nursed it back to life, saving its life and giving it a home. They named it "Little Orphan Dani." When Indiana state officials got word of this courageous act of compassion, they ordered the deer euthanized. (Because government wants to kill everything you love.)

Police Publish "Most Wanted" Pictures of Non-Violent Accused

http://cranberry.patch.com

Local police department in a suburb of Pittsburgh, PA. creates their own "Most Wanted" list, posting the pictures and accused crimes on the internet. All of these people are to be considered "dangerous" despite being accused of nonviolent crimes and oh yeah...being innocent until proven guilty! To make matters worse, the local Patch (online newspaper/community bulletin board and project of Huff Post) _re-posts_ the names, photos, and warrant information of these people to the community.

Man Arrested for Spitting on Sidewalk

http://www.theledger.com

Insomniac Joseph Stoiber, 29, was walking in his neighborhood when he couldn't sleep at 2:30 a.m. May 30, talking to his friend on the phone about baseball. Lakeland police Officer Tyler Anderson saw him in the community near Florida Southern College and stopped him. After asking Stoiber what he was doing, Anderson asked to pat him down. Stoiber said no. Seeing a bulge in Stoiber's pocket, Anderson began patting him down anyway. During the search, Stoiber, who had been chewing tobacco, spit the accumulated saliva on the grass or sidewalk. That's been against the law in Lakeland since 1944.

Want To Know Why People Need Guns?

http://www.lewrockwell.com

The following video from many years ago titled "A Daughter's Regret" shows the testimony of Suzanna Gratia Hupp whose parents were killed when a madman opened fire in a Texas cafeteria. It is a powerful reminder of how essential it is to protect the Second Amendment, not for duck hunting, as she points out, but to protect our loved ones from maniacs ... and a government that would put us in such a vulnerable position.

Government Ban On Bitcoin Would Fail Miserably - Forbes

http://www.forbes.com

I maintain that a government ban on bitcoin would be about as effective as alcohol prohibition was in the 1920s. Government prohibition doesn’t even do a good job of keeping drugs out of prisons. The demand for an item, in this case digital cash with user-defined levels of privacy, does not simply evaporate in the face of a jurisdictional ban. One could even make the case that it becomes stronger because an official recognition that Bitcoin is not only a “renegade” currency but a “so-effective-it-had-to-be-banned” currency would imbue the cryptographic money with larger than life qualities.

Government Persecution, From Aaron Swartz to Bradley Manning

http://www.thenation.com

“Prosecutors destroy a life.” That could be a headline in every newspaper every day in a land where the answer to every problem (and many nonproblems) is police and prisons. When 26-year-old Internet prodigy and freedom of information activist Aaron Swartz committed suicide on January 11, the tragedy was the direct result of US attorneys deciding to throw criminal charges at him for violating a website’s “terms of services” while accessing publicly subsidized academic research.

Sacramento Officials: Law-Abiding Citizens Are Hurting City Revenues

Families try to prevent boys playing girls' sports

http://www.post-gazette.com

A mother and her daughter seek to reverse legislation from 1979 and ban boys from playing on female competitive sports teams. The daughter suffered a concussion after colliding with a boy during a field hockey game. Though I can see why the mother would be concerned, I am unable to support new legislation that would allow a girl to play on a high school football team but not allow a boy to play on high school field hockey team.
