http://www.latimes.com

Here is a brief glimpse of a stateless society. Granted he used someone else's property.

It had seemed like the shuttered Valencia Club had a new lease on life. Alcohol was flowing, and customers were crowding the bar.

UK to Install Satellite Speed Traps

http://www.thecarconnection.com

In London and Cornwall, a pilot program has just been launched that combines all the fun of terrestrial speed cameras with the creepy omniscience of GPS. In a nutshell, the program -- called "SpeedSpike" -- uses positioning satellites to track motorists as they travel between traffic cameras. By calculating the time it takes a driver to move from one point to the other, SpeedSpike can determine whether or not the motorist has been speeding.

Professor claims "outpouring of consensus" against drug prohibition

http://www.theprovince.com

More than 11,000 people have signed the Vienna Declaration which calls on the world’s politicians to let policies on illicit drugs to be guided by scientific evidence which proves the prohibition on drugs such as heroin is a failure. “I think there’s a real recognition in the scientific community that there’s an ethical obligation to start speaking out about this,” said Dr. Evan Wood of the B.C. Kop fires a dozen plus pepper-balls to get bar patrons to move faster

http://www.the33tv.com

A Dallas police officer is under investigation and will likely be disciplined, after commanders say the cop fired a pepper ball gun without permission. Commanders say the officer deployed the pepper dust, firing about 13 rounds against a building. Witnesses describe the incident as frightening. "People under it were screaming and one woman was wiping tears from her eyes," Avi Adelmann, who saw the ordeal, said. Adelmann says it just after the bars closed early Sunday morning, when the officer fired above the smal crowd. There was no fight.

http://www.zerohedge.com

Here's a head scratcher: as everyone knows from elementary chemistry courses, gold is the most inert metal in the world - it does not rust, nor corrode.
