...however, if it wasn't for the State which limits the amount BP is liable in damages, not to mention loan guarantees - then BP wouldn't be where it is, today.

Harvard Study: More Government Spending Means Fewer Jobs

According to a new study by three Harvard Business School the average state then experiences a 40 to 50 percent increase in earmark spending (the figure is a smaller 20% for powerful House committees). So this new government spending is then a boon to the state right? The public spending stimulates economic growth right? Wrong. Turns out, increased federal spending is connected with a decrease in corporate capital expenditures and employment.

Sunbather's spine broken after Kops SUV runs him over

Starkman was lying in a chaise longue on Long Beach. Suddenly, police got a call about a swimmer in distress and rushed to the rescue.

Michigan Considers Law to Register Journalists

Indiana to require ID for alcohol purchase regardless of age

Starting July 1, any licensed server selling alcohol for off-premise consumption will be required to card all Hoosiers -- regardless of how old they look. That means all retailers from supermarkets to package liquor stores will be turning away customers without identification.

Anyone who fails to check for ID during a transaction can be cited with a criminal misdemeanor.
