Former Marine Sergeant Andrew Cullen dressing down the NH Legislators.

http://is.gd

"I and my brothers in arms in this room did not survive fire and death of foreign battlefields to return home to face treason."

Three hours of testimony, all against, regarding a recent non-legislative ban on carrying firearms in the NH State House. A tradition in the Live Free or Die state.

But none compared to this young mans short, direct, and unapologetic speech aimed directly at the committee in front of him.

Presenting UNH student, honorably discharged Marine Sergeant Andrew Cullen, from Fremont, NH.

Video and transcript available on the site.

Put Inflation on the Political Agenda-The Nation

http://www.thenation.com

Note: This article was written by Nicholas von Hoffman for The Nation. This man has a lot of courage: he points out that inflation hurts the poor the most. The rich can purchase hedges against inflation; the poor have no such protection. Even if inflation reduces unemployment, if salaries are worthless the poor are no better off. It is the worst-off of society that suffer from bad economic policy, as usual. He also implies that the Fed was counting on a looming crisis to take care of inflation for them. If this is true, then the Fed may really be as evil as many say it is.

$27,000 fine for car in driveway - North Port FL

http://www.heraldtribune.com

NORTH PORT - The used car was a blessing, a gift from her church to help Diane Pearson, a single mother with three children and a long commute to work. And after receiving the 1998 Mercury from her church, Pearson found her drive to Sarasota a bit less stressful.

North Port took Pearson to court this month over fines of more than $27,000 for keeping her old car in the driveway without a license plate. If the city wins its case, Pearson could be facing bankruptcy.

Throwing Children in Jail, MLK's secret weapon on Racism!

http://www.youtube.com

Grab your children and teach them the real history of MLK and not the watered down politically correct stuff they learn in school these days.
We remind people how effective mass civil disobedience is and examine Martin Luther King's Strategy. We remember the violence and courage of the 1960's and focus on the Children's march at Birmingham.

Let the mission creep begin. Walking and talking is dangerous

http://www.boston.com

Distracted driving has gained much attention lately because of the inflated crash risk posed by drivers using cellphones to talk and text.

But there is another growing problem caused by lower-stakes multitasking - distracted walking - which combines a pedestrian, an electronic device, and an unseen crack in the sidewalk, the pole of a stop sign, a toy left on the living room floor, or a parked (or sometimes moving) car.

New Set of Change: 7 Coins Designed to Make More Cents

http://dornob.com

These so-called ‘infographic coins’ by Mac Funamizu have obvious benefits to the blind, much like the Euro, as sizes, shapes and textures all play a role in the legibility of coins. Impaired or not, anyone reaching into their wallet or purse would likewise be able to more easily identify each coin denomination by touch.

Are we likely to give up on our standard circles? Perhaps not, but at least rethinking our (United States) hodge-podge system with inconsistent sizes, Â colors and weights might be worth doing after so much time with so little design change.
