Daily News @ http://RevolutionNews.US — (SEATTLE) King County prosecutors have decided not to file criminal charges against Seattle police Officer Ian Birk in the fatal shooting of woodcarver John T. Williams, sources familiar with the decision say.

The Prosecutor's Office is expected to announce the decision in a news conference on Wednesday, the sources say.

A preliminary finding by Seattle police is that the Aug. 30 fatal shooting of a homeless woodcarver by an officer isn't justified, The Seattle Times reported. A source confirmed to seattlepi.com that Ian Birk, the officer who fired the fatal shots, has surrendered his gun and badge.

For the first time, dashcam video of the Seattle Police executing an innocent man has been released.

The shuffling, harmless, homeless woodcarver had less than seven seconds from first contact to his body being riddled with bullets.

And then the cop-murderer lied to his superiors about the knife being open (it was closed) and the man threatening him (he wasn't even facing the cop). The man, John T. Williams, was also half-deaf and his whittling knife was of a legal size.

SEATTLE -- On the heels of a scathing federal review of Seattle police practices, dash-cam video is once again at the center of a firestorm at City Hall.

This time, the city is suing an attorney who wanted dash-cam videos connected to alleged police misconduct.

On August 30, Seattle Police Ofc. Ian Burk murdered John T. Williams for holding a legally-sized whittling knife. Williams was a half-deaf Native American woodcarver who was also wearing headphones at the time. Birk claimed Williams refused to drop the legally-sized knife and approached him, but just-released autopsy results show Williams was in fact walking away from his executioner at the time he was shot. Police video of the incident still has not been released.

Seattle police officers bust down a man's door with guns drawn and toss his place. There were two pot plants inside, but more importantly, the guy was a registered medical marijuana patient fully within his rights to grow. Probable cause has yet to be established. Also of note, marijuana possession is, by law, the lowest priority for Seattle law enforcement.
