A northern Indiana man whose wife committed suicide three days after Internal Revenue Service agents raided their home is suing the U.S. government for wrongful death. Denise Simon and her 10-year-old daughter were the only ones home when about 10 armed IRS agents raided their residence on Nov. 6, 2007.

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama -- The owner of a small beer, wine, and homebrewing supply chain says three agents from the Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board raided his unopened store late Thursday afternoon and took $7,000 worth of home beer brewing supplies, including boxes of beer brewing kits, carboys, immersion chillers, and books about brewing.

Danville home raided in connection with dispensary

DANVILLE, Calif. (KGO) -- State narcotics agents and police raided two East Bay locations Wednesday afternoon. They served search warrants at a Newark medical marijuana dispensary and at a private home in Danville where the owners allegedly live.

The Bureau of Narcotics Enforcement, the Danville Police Department, and the Newark Police Department cooperated in a raid at a Danville home. Crime scene tape was up around the home for hours as police searched it.

Salt Lake City Police Chief Chris Burbank has issued an apology after narcotics detectives raided the wrong home and pointed a gun at its 76-year-old female resident. Burbank said the woman was not injured when the search warrant was executed late Wednesday night, but one officer was placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation. "She's certainly had the event of a lifetime, and one that I am very sorry that she had to experience at all," Burbank said.

In the wake of a dramatic increase in deaths at the hands of U.S border patrol agents, the Department of Homeland Security has agreed to launch a long-awaited investigation into the agency’s use of force. Since 2010, border agents have killed at least 18 people, including Valeria "Munique" Tachiquin, slain by a Border Patrol agent on September 28 in broad daylight several miles north of California’s border with Mexico. Tachiquin was a U.S. citizen and mother of five children. Her family is now brings a wrongful death lawsuit against the Border Patrol.

FBI agents raided the home of two college students as part of an investigation into fraudulent sales or purchases of virtual currency that people use to advance in the popular online role-playing game World of Warcraft. Authorities seized laptop computers, hard drives, video game systems, credit cards, a cell phone, paperwork and other computer equipment. "They took all my stuff," said one of the students, although authorities made no arrests.

Ian's wife's lover was using his company expense account to woo her. When Ian went public with this information the result was a £1 million counter-terrorsim investigation. Ian's home and business were raided by Police and that was just the beginning.
