Bob Riley's gambling task force uses hundreds of state troopers to raid, intimidate, and steal these legal business's money costing the tax payers hundreds of thousands of dollars in an already broke state. The Governor has been accused of taking Mississippi Casino money for his campaign and in return promised to shut down all these bingo halls. Florida inmates convicted of non-violent drug crimes spent 194 percent more time behind bars in 2009 than they did in 1990, costing the state billions of dollars but providing little public safety benefit, a new study found. The study, by the Pew Center on the States, examined trends in 35 states that provided data on incarceration for inmates convicted of violent crimes, property crimes and drug offenses. It found that nationally, state inmates across all categories of offenses served an average of nine additional months in custody, a rise of 36 percent since 1990.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) thus far, has been more problematic than useful. The extreme surveillance of citizens, the NDAA implemented, ACTA signed which in essence censors our freedom of speech on the Internet and the TSA defines an imposition on our privacy in every area of our lives. CNN is reporting that presidential challenger Ron Paul has not been asked to speak at the Republican National Convention in Tampa. Instead, the Romney team has invited Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez and South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley. Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, Ohio Governor John Kasich, Arizona Senator John McCain and Florida Governor Rick Scott will also have prime time speaking roles.

Delray Beach Florida has become the latest in the battle against personal choice and has banned hiring employees who use tobacco products, all supposedly to save money on health insurance.

The federal government has posted signs along a major interstate highway in Arizona, more than 100 miles north of the U.S.-Mexico border, warning travelers the area is unsafe because of drug and alien smugglers, and a local sheriff says Mexican drug cartels now control some parts of the state.
